Privacy Policy
This draft explains what information TerraExpats collects and how it is used. It is a working document, not a finalized legal text, and it has not yet been reviewed by qualified counsel. 1. Information we collect
TerraExpats collects the information you provide when you create an account (name, email), when you send an inquiry or message, when you submit a service request or support message, and when a business completes its profile and verification documents.
2. Account data
Account data is used to operate the platform: signing you in, showing your dashboard, delivering your inquiries and messages, and managing memberships. Your email address is not published on your public profile.
3. Verification documents
Documents submitted for business verification are stored privately. They are visible only to the business that submitted them and to TerraExpats administrators, and are used solely for the verification review.
4. Inquiries and messages
When you send an inquiry, its content is shared with the business you contacted so it can respond. Administrators may review inquiries for safety, abuse prevention and support purposes. Do not include medical histories, diagnoses or other sensitive health information in marketplace inquiries.
7. Data retention
Account and inquiry data is kept while your account is active and as long as needed for the platform's records and legal obligations. You may request deletion of your account by contacting us.
8. Your choices and rights
You can review and update your profile information from your dashboard. You may request a copy or deletion of your personal data by writing to info@terraexpats.com. Specific rights procedures will be detailed in the final version of this policy.
9. Security
TerraExpats uses access controls so that private data — such as inquiries, verification documents and support messages — is visible only to the people it concerns and to administrators. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; report any concern to info@terraexpats.com.
10. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page. Material changes will be highlighted before they take effect.
